What is an X-jet nozzle?

An X-jet nozzle is an attachment that allows a pressure washer to apply soft wash chemicals without relying on a pump-mounted injector system. The nozzle uses venturi action to pull chemical from a supply line or bucket and mix it into the pressurized water stream before it exits. This design lets operators spray soft wash solutions from 30 to 40 feet away, making it useful for treating roofs, siding, and other surfaces that need chemical application without high-pressure damage.

The X-jet works by creating a low-pressure zone as water flows through the nozzle. That pressure differential draws chemical from a line or reservoir into the stream. Unlike standard nozzles that only shoot water, or dedicated injector systems that require additional equipment mounted on the pressure washer, an X-jet combines chemical delivery with the standard wand setup. This makes it a simpler alternative for contractors who want to add chemical application to their existing pressure washing rig without major hardware changes.

For roof soft washing and other surface treatment work, the X-jet reduces setup time and keeps operators at a safe distance while applying degreasers, mildewcides, or other treatment chemicals.
